Metronetworknews gathered that the victim, Bienose Sunday was abducted on Wednesday along Aba road axis of Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The victim was said to be returning home after attending a pre-ordination seminar at King’s Parish of the RCCG at Olu Obasanjo road, Port Harcourt when he was abducted.
A family source told Metronetworknews that the victim put a call through to his wife that he was inside a taxi returning home at about 2 pm on a fateful day. But since after the call, she has not heard from him even as his whereabout is still unknown.
The source said the abductors have not contacted the family, adding that the wife and members of his family have been left traumatized.
He was the pastor in charge of Kingdom Parish, Rivers Province 3, RCCG, at Rumuduru town in Obio-Akpor LGA of Rivers state.
All attempts to speak with the spokesman of Rivers state Police command to confirm the incident proved abortive.
There have been a plethora of media reports of growing insecurity in the state.
However, the State Governor, Nyesom Wike at a public function denied the reports, alleging that ” people pay the media to carry negative publicity against the state.
