Port Harcourt Residents Condemn Rivalry Among Ministers Of God

In view of the comment made by Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, where he said that if anybody could show him where in the scripture coconut was used for deliverance that he would throw away his bible, invariably referring to the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry(OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, many Port Harcourt residents have condemned such statement and open rivalry among the ministers.

They said every stone should not be left unturned by these ministers in preaching the gospel of Christ, engaging in mercy of love and other spiritual injunctions of Jesus Christ.

They condemned as ungodly the strife among them as to who has more members, richer and other worldly investments.

Speaking to Metronetworknews in an interview, Mr. Jerry Okujagu, condemned the rivalry and said that such rivalry creates confusion among ordinary church members and points out that there church leaders pursue personal interest rather than God’s interest .

He wondered what members would learn from them if they indulge in such attitudes.

Also speaking, Miss Beauty Owhonda, said the rivalry is uncalled for and urged them to show sanctification in their lives worthy of emulation by members.

She said that when they think spiritually, they will hardly find time for secular rivalry.

Miss Owhonda urged them to have a forum where they would meet to promote the gospel of Christ rather than display distrust for one another.

On his part, George Azunda Kazi-Chinda, advised pastors to quit from envying themselves, saying that such act could make people find it difficult to accept Christ and become true Christians.

“I don’t want to meddle into the cold war of the two leading Pentecostal pastors in Port Harcourt. They can continue for all I care but I just want to tell readers that what’s known as the Bible had more than 66 books. That a lot of editing and changes took place before arriving at the 66 we have today”.

“Is our brother pastor aware that what is seen today as the Bible has undergone series of “excision and surgery” to remove and add? Has he read those books which were removed following Constantine’s commissioning of a team to review these works if any had coconut as an element for miracle performance? What if the “Magician” who relies on coconut draws inspiration from those books which were originally the Bible until the human element that understood the contradictions contained and capable of eroding the things told, to carry out his healings?”

“Let Nigerian pastors quit from envying themselves because by that act, they will end up opening the eyes of the sheep who is sheepishly led without their minds to question critically, certain things pushed out. The day the sheep becomes wise, hmmm, there shall be disarray and a great schism may visit the house!”
