Port Harcourt, the Rivers State today witnessed the first heavy rain in 2025.
Our correspondent reports that the heavy rain was witnessed at Ada George, Onne and some parts of the metropolis, while other areas like Rumuodara, Eliowhani did not witness any rain.
The downpour was accompanied by thunderstorm.
Some residents of the city who.spoke in an interview with our reporter on condition of anonymity, thanked God over the downpour, describing it as “showers of blessing in the new year’’.
They said the rain was a relief from the heat being experienced in the city.
