Some PortHarcourt Customers have threatened to drag Multichoice , owners of GOtv, a paid television terrestrial service provider, to Consumer Protection Council over flaws in channels services.
The customers complained GOtv has been allegedly cheating them in number of channels for each of their packages.
They said each package has number of channels which based on that customers choose a package.
They observed that on payment, the channels come up but after sometime, some of them disappear until the end of the monthly service.
According to them, it has been going on for many months thereby breaching their contract of service to the subscribers.
Speaking to Metronetworknews, a customer who simply gave his name as Sunday said he went for GOtv max subscription but was surprised that some of the channels went off before the expiration of the monthly service.
He said every attempt by him to restore the channels proved abortive as he was told that it could be a technical reception fault and not from GOtv.
He said when he also inquired from other customers, it was the same complaint.
He, therefore, called on GOtv not to breach the contract of service, promising that like customers are beginning to organise themselves to petition to Consumer Protection Council.
All attempts to get a reaction from GOtv customer service proved abortive as text messages and phone calls put across to it by the medium was not returned as at the time of filing this report.
