The policemen who escorted FCT minister, Nyesom Wike to recover disputed land and clash with a.naval officer, AA Yerima in Abuja will face disciplinary action if the riot act read by the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun is anything to go by .

In a viral video, the IGP said, “Let me reiterate without ambiguity that the Nigeria police is not and will never became an enforcer for private interest.
” Officers have no business escorting parties for land recovery, disrupting legally existing occupations or meddling in civil claim without demonstrable criminal element.
” Every such incidence erodes the neutrality of the force and opens us up to disrupt.
“The line must be clear and any officer who crosses it will face disciplinary consequence
