There has been mixed feelings from Port harcourt residents about the laying of curses on internet fraudsters also known as ‘yahoo yahoo boys’, illegal oil refiners and night club operators by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
A resident, Mr. John Chukwudi, said that as a man of God, the pastor ought to urge them to repent and accept Jesus Christ before they go to hell rather than laying curses on them.
He said Jesus was not laying curses on sinners but asking them to repent because he came for them.
He further said the man of God ought to preach, pray and persuade them to change from their evil ways.
However, another resident, Mrs. Boma Tekena, disagree and said that the pastor has the right to lay curse on evil things in the society not to prosper.
she urged those involved in such dirty business to desist from such and adhere to the warning of the man of God to avoid the curse coming into effect in their life.
Recall that Pastor Ibiyeomie uttered curses on Night Club operators, Illegal Oil refiners and internet fraudster also known as Yahoo yahoo boys’, while speaking at the Ministry’s on-going 5-day annual global programme tagged, ‘Glory Reign 2022’,on Thursday.
His words; “Let me tell all these yahoo boys, stop. you can’t be defrauding somebody everyday, stop. Listen, I am a man of God, stop. You kill people everyday. When you yahoo somebody is stealing. Don’t quote it anyhow, it’s stealing. Most people all their retirement benefit, you take it from one sitting and people die; I curse it in the name of Jesus Christ.
“Listen, stop, stop, stop. If you are in church, stop. It is demonic, satanic way of getting money. Which kind of nonsense money is that. You are a thief. You love stealing. I curse the root of it.
“Stop, that is not the kind of money, we are talking about. Stop that nonsense. Do you know how many people you have killed? Scam kills people. Some people, the whole of their retirement benefit; you now scam them and say you are buying car. You will get accident with that car. Stop the nonsense, you are a child of God. Don’t get that kind of money. It is blood money.
“People should stop giving yahoo boys chieftaincy title; deal with them as armed robbers. And these days, even church people are doing yahoo. Young boys will not work, they sit on top of laptop, send messages to scam people. Internet fraud must stop in Nigeria.
“Police should arrest and jail them. if you take money from them, that money kill you. That blood money kill you- You know what, they stole from somebody who died, you now collected the money and release them, you and your family die with it. It is blood money.
“Resign from yahoo yahoo. Even if you run from tomorrow, this prayer will follow you. Even if you go to another man of God, it will not work. The prayer I prayed is irreversible and irrevocable”.
Speaking further, Pastor Ibiyeomie, invoked curses on night clubs not to prosper in the city of Port Harcourt.
He narrated that sometimes ago, as he was on his way back home, he saw a night club by the road, he parked his car and came down. Then, he pointed and said to it, may this club die and few days later,it was closed down.
He revealed that the church’s properties were former night clubs.
“All our properties were night clubs and we will acquire more of them”.
He charged his members to buy any night club within their vicinity and convert it into a church.
“The church must take over. Be a part of expanding the kingdom of God”. “If you take loan to open a night club, you will not pay back. ” Kpofire must stop. What kind of money are you looking for that is killing people. Church must stop looking for dirty money”, he warned.
