An 11-month-old son has been allegedly beheaded by his mother, one Mrs. Blessing Eno, at Ugep community, in the Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Metronetworknews gathered that it took the quick intervention of the Police to rescue her from being lynched by an angry mob for perpetrating the crime.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo, said Eno had been arrested.
“Investigation is on to ascertain the reason for her action. But what we heard is that she is mentally deranged,” Ugbo said.
