The remains of late Elder Chika Kelly Ibama, father of Engr. Ibimina Ibama, has been laid to rest at Buguma in Asari-Toru local government area of Rivers state.
The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries from all walks of life including the Commandant, Nigerian Naval College, Onne, Rivers state, Commodore Pakribo Anabraba.
Delivering his father’s biography, Engr Ibama, described late Elder Kelly Ibama, as a sociable person, an elder in the Church and society who was liked by all around him.
He said his late father raised his children uprightly and taught them the value of hard work and honesty.
“I give glory to God for the quality time spent with you during my childhood and the good virtues you instilled in me and my siblings. You demonstrated honesty, integrity, respect, and discipline while you walked on mother earth. Your penchant for neatness and accountability was second to none”, he recalled.
Engr. Ibama expressed gratitude to the guests for the honour done the family by attending the burial ceremony of their father, and prayed God to bless them.
The funeral service witnessed intercessory prayers, hymns and prayers for the deceased and his family
Elder Ibama died at the age of 89 years old after a brief illness.
