Rivers state Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara and the lawmaker representing Asari-Toru federal constituency in Rivers state, Hon. Boma Goodhead have been selected as members of the 2026 APC national convention central coordination committee to oversee preparations for the event.
The committee which was constituted by APC national working committee, comprised of serving governors, former governors, federal and state lawmakers, ministers and other senior party stakeholders.
The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma who also serves as Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), will lead the high-powered committee while the Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was named vice chairman of the committee and the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, will serve as secretary.
According to a release by the party’s national Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, details of the inauguration of the Committee will be announced in due course.
