Former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ibrahim Mantu has died.
Metronetworknews gathered that he died in the early hours of Tuesday in a hosptal in Abuja after a brief illness.
Mantu was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party until his demise.
He was elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Plateau Central Constituency under the platform of the PDP in 1999. He was appointed Deputy Senate President in 2000.
