The residents of Eliowhani community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state have benefitted from a free medical services rendered by Mireva Medical Services and Diagnostic Limited.
Speaking to metronetworknews in an interview, the Health Management Organizaton Manager, Mr. John Okuwa, said the firm rendered the free services that cover; free health check, consultation, blood glucose test and free drugs for some illness, as part of activities for the grand opening of its branch in the community.
He further said the organization has the passion to provide health services for the people especially in the rural areas.
“The free medical service is organized by Mireva Medical Services and Diagnostic Limited, We are a premium heaith service organization. We render health service to the public and also we have well equipped laboratory and radiography section where people come for test and scan. We have up-to-date machines that can do these tests that I have listed. We are offering this free medical service to members of the public because we are new in this location and opening for the public. So, we are reaching out to people to create awareness and show them what we have and offer. We invited the public to come for free checkup and consultation with the doctors and also free medical scan for the first ten pregnant women that will come”, he said.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our reporter commended the firm for rendering the services to them.
An elated beneficiary, Mr Chuwudi Obinna said, ” I am highly impressed with the services I got here. I have been having chest pains and suffering from B:P for sometime now. when I heard about the programme I said since today is public holiday,let me come and I am glad I did.
Another beneficiary who simply gave her name as Francisca, also expressed happiness over the free medical services.
Her words; “The services are superb. I came around because I have been having severe headaches and abdominal pains. The interraction and way the doctor attended to me was nice. Also, the phamarcist that gave me drugs was a wonderful person. He told me how to take the medications and after that he gave me a promise that they will follow me up.
On his own part, Chief Chudugam Goddy Amaewhule, Eze Omahanjide Owhor of Okporo community, thanked the firm for organizing the programme in Eliowhani town.
