A night fire incident on Tuesday has razed down buildings and house hold items worth millions of naira along Ikwerre road by Anozie street in mile 2 Diobu axis of Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
An eye witness said that the fire which started at about 8pm was caused by electricity spark from a high tension wire in front of a container shop.
According to her, the spark from the high tension wire ignited the fire which burnt the shop.
She said the fire spread to 3 other shops that deal on sporting wears, generator set, rug and almanac rim paper.
She pointed out that it took the efforts of the youths of the area and fire service to extinguish the inferno.
