Following reports that emerged late on Friday that operatives of the Department of State Services had arrested the suspended CBN governor,Godwin Emefiele, the agency says the top banker was not in its custody.
This was made known via the agency’s Twitter handle on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
The post read, “Currently, Emefiele is not with the DSS.”
It would be recalled that the purported arrest of Emefiele by the DSS shortly after being suspended from office by the President had been widely reported by some online media.
