The management of Rivers state independent Electoral commission(RISIEC) has urged members of the public to disregard social media report claiing that Rivers state governor, Sir Siminialayai Fubara has given money for the Local Governent Area(LGA) Elections.
The management gave the advice in statement made available to media houses in Port Harcourt.
The statement read; ”The attention of the Rivers state independent Electoral commission has been drawn to certain social media reports that the Executive governor of Rivers state His Excellency Sir Siminialayai Fubara (Dssrs) has given money for the LGA Elections.
”These are deliberate misconstrueing of facts by mischief maker and as such should be disregarded.
” The general public will be dully notified as soon as RSIEC is ready to kick start the 2024 election process”.
