Rivers state Governor, Sir Siminialaye Fubara has asked Rivers people to pray for him to overcome the political crisis occasioned by the disagreement between him and ex- governor Nyesom Wike who is currently the Minister of Federal Capital Territory(FCT).

The governor made the call  when he arrived  to rescue the state House of Assembly  from loyalists of Wike who moved to impeach the majority leader, Edison Ehie and later get at him, on Monday.

He said; ” Our good people of Rivers state, I know you are prayerful. Pray for me that God will save us to the end”

”I am not against anybody. I am not planning anything against anybody but I don’t know where all these things are coming from.

‘ I heard some people gathered here to do whatever.

”You cannot sit when there is a propblem  and you say you are doing anything. What are you doing?

”I am the Chief Security Officer  and head of government. I am the only person that should come and create an alternative place for the assembly to sit, So, whatever action that was taken here is null and void”.
