Some concerned stakeholders of Rivers state have reacted to the manner the Minister of  the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike addressed President Bola Tinubu at a public rally in the oil-rich state, recently.

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent, a stakeholder who pleaded to remain anonymous for fear of being victimised said that it was wrong for the minister to call Tinubu’s name without using the title President during the rally held at Emohua LGA.

“Wike saying ”as far as Tinubu’s own is concern is a settled matter” without using President, portrays him as someone who is disrespectful of Pres.Tinubu. He is making himself equal with Mr. President.

“As a minister under Pres. Tinubu, he would have even referred to him as His Excellency”, he opined.

On his part, a public affairs analyst, Emeka Mba, faulted the words of Wike, alleging that
the minister’s recent utterance has revealed enough and confirmed his report that he was working against President Tinubus 2027 ambition.

‎Mba wrote‎, “Nuhu Ribadu likes Rivers State money . He came to suck from the 600B in Rivers State coffers. Rivers State speaker made a mistake announcing this figures to the world and thus attracting the attention of cash and carry politicians like Ribadu. Ribadu is looking for where to perch. In other to collect his own Share , Ribadu came with his own committee to Rivers State and told Governor Fubara ” the president is happy with you ” and he collected his own share. Ribadu can say any negative thing about him(Wike ) just to collect his own share from the money ”
‎
“‎When Minister Wike made these derogatory remarks against the National security adviser on Saturday, we thought it was just a slip of tongue , but he doubled down on it on Sunday, when he repeated same accusations while addressing his supporters at isiokpo. Confirming he knew exactly what he was saying.
‎
“‎This only confirms one thing , the spirit of error has entered wike.
‎
“‎He is fighting everybody now who shows even a slight support to  Fubara. He is fighting NSA Ribadu and his fellow cabinet ministers, he is fighting Governor Uzodinma and other APC Governors, He is fighting APC, he is now fighting president Tinubu.
‎
“‎Wikes supporters openly declared yesterday “No Wike no Rivers State”, an open threat and cryptic message to president Tinubu that he either supports Wike against Fubara or lose Rivers State.
‎
“‎Wike himself, also in a state of visible drunkenness and self forgetfulness, sent a cryptic message  to president Tinubu and APC , warning that he already knew where he is going , and there is nothing like PDP or APC in Rivers State.
‎
“‎This is a subtle declaration of war against present Tinubu and APC. It is now left to be seen how the presidency , the APC and its Governor’s will react to this rascality by an ordinary employee of Mr president.
‎
“‎Like we have earlier reported , minister Wike is working against President Tinubus 2027 ambition and his recent paranoia has revealed enough and confirmed our report.
‎
“‎Can the centre now hold ? only time will tell” .
