Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has tackled opinions that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, had dumped the PDP for the coalition movement and its adopted platform, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement in reaction to insinuation in some quarters, especially by PDP stalwart Chief Bode George that the former Vice President and other notable heavyweights have resigned from the PDP, Eze clarified that apart from Senator David Mark who rendered his resignation, all others from the PDP who joined the coalition movement are still PDP members, including the former Vice President who, for national interest, has collapsed the PDP into the coalition.

“Atiku can’t serve two masters (PDP and ADC) at the same time. What Atiku and others did is towing the Wike’s strategy of staying in PDP and working for APC by collapsing the party into the alternative which is the ADC which seems to be a feasible platform for the project of rescuing Nigeria from the dungeon that Tinubu and his co-travellers have plunged Nigeria into”, he stated.

Eze maintained that Atiku is the brain box of the PDP and would never have left the party for anyone, adding that as it is, there would be nothing left of the PDP should Atiku decides to leave the party.

He said, “I am expecting Chief Bode George and others to stop acting the two barefaced and chameleon strategy and join ADC to save Nigeria from the mess that Wike and Tinubu have plunged our dear Country into”.

“The fact remains that Wike and his devilish cohorts who are moles planted by President Tinubu are working to decimate the party to give Mr. President a free ride in 2027. But the new alternative has intercepted and frustrated their plot early enough.

“So to me, what Atiku and other key Elders of the party have resolved to do is to collapse the mainstream of PDP into a more viable platform through which the national project of uprooting the current evil government can be achieved still retaining their membership of PDP.

“In this regard , I must Commend and congratulate Atiku and others for this bold, wise and strategic step to shame the enemies of Nigeria and PDP and their misguided followers who thought that by destroying the party they will succeed in denying some of the party faithful the platform to arrest the drive to collapse Nigeria by the Tinubu’s administration.”

In the same vein, Eze hailed Atiku for refusing to adopt Nyesom Wike as his Vice Presidential Candidate in 2023.

He said, ” if he had been declared winner, Wike, an avaricious land grabber, as his Vice President would have stolen lands and maybe turned the Aso-Rock as an annex of his ill-acquired bounties, Considering the land grabbing exercise currently going on in Rivers State and Abuja, he would have done worse as Atiku’s deputy”.

Eze regretted that with what Senator Okowa has turned himself into, recommending him as the Vice President to Atiku was a total mistake.

In this regard, Eze apologized to Atiku profusely for the blunder of recommending the former Delta State Governor as his running mate for the 2023 election.
