The All Progressives Congress National Working Committee, has settled for Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom state, as the next Senate President in the 10th National Assembly.
This was contained in a document issued after the NWC meeting on Monday in Abuja.
According to the document, Abass Tajudeen from Kaduna state was nominated as House of Representatives speaker.

2. Deputy Senate President – North West-Senator Barau Jubrin (Kano).
3. Speaker, House of Representatives – North West – Hon. Abass Tajudeen (Kaduna)
4. Deputy Speaker – South East-Hon. Ben Kalu (Abia)
