A chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in the Southeast, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has advised the APC governorship candidate , Andy Uba to accept the result of the election by Ndi Anambra.
In a statement made available to media houses, the party chieftain said the result of the election was a reflection of the wishes of Anambra people and advised the APC candidate not to go to the tribunal to challenge it.
He said today he might not be the governor but if he keeps goodwill with the people, he might also be the governor in future.
Eze urged him to continue his good works, philanthropy and empowerment of the people that next time it could be his turn to be the governor of Anambra state.
He said going to court would bring unnecessary distraction to the governor-elect and also impinge on his goodwill as perceived by the people of the state.
The party chieftain congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for success poll conduct and standing up for democracy.
The statement read; “Drop the idea of going to tribunal. Take lead from Buhari, IBB, Umahi, Ngige, others and congratulate Soludo, respect Ndi Anambra’s verdict”.
