Metro Network News, an online publishing firm, in partnership with Coca-cola Nigeria holds a free digital training workshop for student journalists in University of Port Harcourt.
In a statement issued in Lagos and signed by David Amusa, the Managing Editor, stated that the workshop will provide a platform for non academic training for the students, inculcate digital skills from industrial instructors, acquaint the students with skills for intern training, create an opportunity to complement parental sponsorship and further corporate social responsibility of Metro network news.
According to the statement, those expected at the event are; Nwamaka Onyemelukwe, Director, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Chief Sunny Ikeokwu, Chief Executive officer (CEO), Metro Network Online Limited, Prof. Kingsley Owete, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Walter Ihejirika, Dean, Faculty of Communications and Media Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Aniefiok Udoudo, Head of Department, Linguistics and Communication Studies, University of Port Harcourt and Tope Adeosun, a Google & Facebook Trained and certified Expert.
It stated that the event will take place on Thursday October 14, 2021, by 10 am at the Kay Williamson Lecture Hall, Abuja campus, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Port Harcourt.
