The people of Ogoniland are excitedly preparing for the BienGwara peace and unity carnival scheduled to hold on Saturday January 3, at BienGwara community, one of the three autonomous communities in Gwara clan in Khana local government area of Rivers state.

Our correspondent who visited the community reports that all is now set for the highly anticipated carnival.
Fielding questions from our reporter, the organiser and sponsor, Comrade Imeabe Saviour Oscar, said that the event will feature live music, quiz competition, cultural display and showcase artists like Mkaze, Splendid, Gbenga Olowo( Lammata) amongst others.
He noted that it will provide an avenue for bonding, connection, relaxation, network in culturally rich setting and celebration of togetherness.
” The event is to promote peace and development in my community, Bien-Gwara. Also, it is to bring the people together during this yuletide.
“Furthermore, it is meant to create an impactful change in the community, where the indigenes live together in harmony always.
“It is my own little way of giving back to the society and taking practical action to bring greater unity, love and long lasting peace in Ogoniland”, he said.
