Things That Are Better Than Money (part 7)

When someone dies, people do say may his or her soul rest in peace (R.I.P) – and it is NOT the soul of the dead to rest in money (R.I.M)!
Money can buy a house…but not a home, It can pay for the best of health…but it cannot buy health, it can clothe the body …but it can’t clothe the soul. It is only peace through the Prince of Peace that can clothe the soul.
Peace (NEVER money) is what God uses always to make known to any individual that his or her ways please Him (God). And this tells us that money is good but peace is far better than money in life.
The main reason why some rich commit suicide is because they lose their peace when they face crises without Christ (the Prince of Peace ).
One of the fallacies of life is the notion that when you have money, you have everything. How untrue this is!
Peace is one of the so much that money cannot buy or do. The Name of Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit establish peace in God’s children, irrespective of the outward circumstances around them. Money cannot do it; peace is far better than money in reality of life.
True peace is an indication or evidence of the presence of Jesus Christ, made manifest by the Holy Spirit in any given situation.
God uses peace in the form of a still small voice to quietly speak to our spirit man while in crisis as He did to prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 19:12 “And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.”
Here God did not use money but a still small voice which is a function of peace to minister to our soul while in crisis. A still small voice is a tool of peace from God. This tells us that peace is better than money. When facing the fierce storm of life which is raging terribly, the only solution is peace (not money ) – peace will be given to calm the raging storm.
God uses peace in the form of the peaceable fruit of righteousness as the end result that reveals and manifests all His disciplined children : Hebrews 12:11 “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”
The peaceable fruit of righteousness in the life of a true disciplined Christian makes him to easily overcome temptation. Peaceablefruit of righteousness qualifies a genuine disciplined believer to grow and mature to become a powerful tool in the hand of God who will be used to deal with the forces of the kingdom of darkness.
When a truly born again child of God wants to know whether his or her way pleases the LORD God, God Himself uses peace (not money ) as a tool to reveal this to him or her : Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
What all those who are in positions of authority need is a tool of peace to lead “1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
If a genuinely born again child of God wants to do something that God does not approve, he or she will lose his/her peace – she or she will be troubled in the mind.
Also, if God needs his or her attention on any issue, such a child of God will have a burden in his or her heart, that will not have a peace of mind (not money ). If a child of God is about to make or he/she has already made a wrong choice or taken a wrong decision like in choosing a marriage partner, business, career, ministry, etc, he or she will not experience divine peace of mind.
However, if a genuinely born again child of God needs to know that God is in support of whatever he or she does, there shall be unspeakable divine peace of mind in the heart . That is, how a true child of God will know that God is in favour of what he or she is doing is by peace of mind – not money because the fools , wicked, in fact unbelievers make money, even a lot of money.
How to know that God is the One speaking to you is by peace – Psalms 85:8 “I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints:…..”
God deals with the wicked by using a tool of peace. How? He will never give them divine peace in their heart : Isaiah 48:22 “There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.” The word “wicked ” in this scripture means unbelievers – those who are not genuinely born again .
